Audacity is a popular free and open-source digital audio editor and recording application, widely used by musicians, podcasters, and hobbyists alike. It provides a comprehensive suite of tools for multi-track recording, editing, and mixing audio, supporting a variety of audio formats. Users can perform tasks such as cutting, copying, pasting, and deleting audio segments, applying numerous effects like noise reduction, equalization, and reverb, and analyzing audio frequencies. Its intuitive interface and extensive feature set, combined with its cross-platform compatibility (available on Windows, macOS, and Linux), make it an accessible and powerful choice for a broad range of audio production needs.
This toolkit is a combination of three models of instructional design. The ADDIE model provides a robust, systematic framework, ensuring the toolkit's development, from initial concept to ongoing evaluation, is structured, comprehensive, and focused on achieving specific educational and empowerment goals. The Pebble model's emphasis on real-world, authentic problems perfectly aligns with the toolkit's aim to have students produce tangible educational content for The Bahamas, thereby fostering introspection, deep application of skills, and genuine understanding. The idea behind the toolkit's choice of software highlights how technology can truly transform learning; for this toolkit, its strength is in guiding the strategic integration of open-source tools to enable students to move beyond basic digital tasks to create innovative, previously impossible forms of educational content. This is rooted in SAMR. While this list seems small the majority of these tools are multifaceted and are larger in scale than most tools.
This toolkit is divided into 4 categories, which will be color-coded because the software does more than one thing and fits into multiple categories.

It provides a comprehensive set of tools for artists and designers across various industries. Known for its robust community and continuous development, Blender offers a flexible and customizable interface. Its versatility makes it suitable for everything from creating animated films and visual effects to architectural visualizations and interactive 3D applications. Despite its complexity, a wealth of tutorials and resources makes it accessible to both beginners and seasoned professionals.
PHOTOPEA
Photopea is a free, web-based image editor that serves as a powerful alternative to traditional desktop applications like Adobe Photoshop. It offers a wide range of features for both raster and vector graphics, including layers, masks, smart objects, and various blending modes. Users can open and edit files in popular formats such as PSD, AI, XD, Sketch, PDF, XCF, and RAW. Its interface is remarkably similar to Photoshop, making it easy for users familiar with that software to transition. Photopea runs entirely in the browser, meaning no installation is required, and it can be accessed from any device with an internet connection.
